A Guide for People Moving to Nashville Tn.

Nashville, Tennessee, is affectionately known as "Music City", thanks to its huge contribution to American roots music, including gospel and blues, rockabilly and soul. It is regarded as the birthplace of country and western music and a vibrant, interesting location in which to live. Tennessee is located in the deep south of America and Nashville, its capital, lies in the central plateau of the state. Home to over 600,000 residents alone and over 1.5 million as part of the 13 counties that make up Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area, it has a rich cultural history, a thriving business sector and is a seat of learning with numerous colleges and universities located here.

Relocating to Nashville opens up a world of opportunity for families with hopes and aspirations. The city has an enduring appeal for tourists thanks to its legendary music scene, which attracts thousands of visitors a year who pump billions of dollars into the local economy. Around 20,000 residents are employed within the tourism sector, although this is not the largest employer. Instead the healthcare sector employs the highest number of residents as over 250 specialist healthcare companies have a presence in the area. Vanderbilt University and Medical Center is the single largest employer with around 25,000 staff. Other industries represented within the area include the burgeoning automotive industry, finance, insurance and publishing.

Desirable residential areas include Brentwood, Franklin and Cool Springs. These neighborhoods are seen as family friendly and are located within the best school catchment area of Williamson County Schools. For a less expensive option, nearby Hendersonville was rated in the top ten places to raise a family by Family Circle Magazine so is viewed as good value for money. If price is no barrier, head for West Nashville and the cities of Bellevue, Green Hills and Belle Meade. These areas house elegant accommodation and are regarded as the most exclusive in the region. Expect to see prices starting at around the $200,000 plus dollar mark for Bellevue, increasing to over 1 million dollars plus for the Belle Meade area. Green Hills has a wider range of accommodation that represents each price bracket as the neighborhood caters for single people and families.

There are numerous opportunities for leisure in Nashville whether your hobbies are music based, outdoor recreation or historical interests. Relocating to Nashville can be a fantastic move and with the help of the experts, you can be packed up and into your new home quickly and easily. It`s always best to get the professionals to do the hard and heavy work, so be safe and secure with a reputable moving company who are qualified, experienced and have great recommendations. That way you and your belongings will arrive safely at your new home. Enjoy the start of your new life!
